Weather Service

I'm assisting a client in finding a weather service for their station. Any leads? WeatherEye isn't an option.

First, you are to be commended for being so professional to seek out competent, qualified weather reporting.

Have you tried a meteorologist from a local television station? Oftentimes they will happily participate in providing the weather, because it gives them a plug as a news source.

Anything is better than plugging zip codes in on the Internet.

I stand by my original thought that it might be a good idea to associate yourself with a local television station and bona fide meteorologist. That way you get actual weather reporting, and not how the "weather" is going to be in certain areas - vacant or crowded that day or for a weekend, and you get local weather for and from the local area, not from some 50 miles away, and not for the aforementioned areas switched to seem to mean the other side of the state or county. The "weather" can wreak havoc on a town - even a town that consists only of a handful of homes. In the alternative, pay close attention to the weather reporting you get and see what comes of it afterward.

We won WW2 based on professional weather reporting. Imagine if Tokyo Rose had been relied upon for weather.

I would look local too. There are a couple of former weathermen from NC here who have started their own weather content services. There probably are in your area too, if there are as many former weathermen in your area as there seem to be here.
