WeatherPlus remains on WXIA-DT 11.2. The WeatherPlus logo is gone (it is just "11 Alive Weather"), along with the national segments. Just a local radar with complete silence for audio.
They need to put music or NOAA Weather Radio on the feed. The silence is odd, and when an EAS alert comes through, it could startle many people if the set is turned up too loud.
Speaking of FCC complience...what will WXIA do to meet KidVid requirements? They can't simulcast the qubo programming on Saturday mornings, as subchannels must air a different set a children's programming to meet requirements.
Also...will WXIA use 11.2 for other non-weather programming? Will they eventually make the feed HD to broadcast HD news programming?
