Thanks! Sorry for the stupid question...will Time Warner carry the network?
It's owned by the Mets, Time Warner & Comcast. Forgot Time Warner was the other partner.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that most TW and Comcast systems in the tri-state area will carry the network. It will be interesting to see if Sportsnet has the same problems getting on Cablevision systems like the YES network did several years ago.

I'm actually going to predict at least a blackout of one month of SportsNet/NY on Cablevision. One month, at least. I can't see it go the entire season, like the initial season of YES. Not after the net loss on both sides after that ordeal...<P ID="signature">______________

I think it'll be a lot longer than a month unless Sportsnet-New York offers Cablevision some great terms. Sportsnet-New York probably won't be available to Cablevision viewers at all during the 2006 Mets' season.

And in the end, Cablevision founder and chairman Chuck Dolan will be the one who makes the decision as to whether Sportsnet gets on his systems. He'll only give the okay if he gets very generous terms. Barring that, he'll stonewall.

SportsNet New York?

I'm in Pennsylvania, will Direct TV carry the network. I'm screwed with DTV not carrying Comcast Sportsnet Philly, but I get CSN Baltimore, CSN Sacramento and CSN Chicago.

CSN Philly won't be on DBS anytime soon thanks to a court decision in favor of Comcast.
