Webio Fires North...FBI Investigates Co.

On the front page--Seems like Mike is the stand up guy here but there will probably be more developement after FBI report comes out.

www.radio-info.com

"Last year Webio hired former “Score” WSCR (670) morning personality Mike North, along with other Chicago talent. But last Friday, David Hernandez fired North, his wife Bebe (the startup’s COO) and general sales manager Jeff Schwartz. North tells the Chicago Tribune that he’s been concerned about bounced checks at Webio and had been trying to contact Hernandez, without success. Now the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times both report that the FBI appeared at the NextStep Media Staffing business of Hernandez on Friday and conducted a search. There were no arrests. The Sun-Times reports two additional details – #1, that the SEC may also be looking into Hernandez' business dealings. And #2, that Mike North “invited his Chicago Sports Webio co-workers – including veteran sportscaster Chet Coppock and midday host Jonathan Hood – to his house, where he gave them checks from his personal bank account to help make up for their lost wages.”

Was North on his TV show this morning?
