WEBN FILES - The Call Letters

Frank Wood Sr. picked me up at home one wintery night in the WEBN green &
brown station wagon. Took me into work for the all night Engineering "Keep the
station" on the air gig.....

While we were driving back to Price Hill; I asked Frank questions about the New
radio station. He was very personable, and kind to me; as I was a young radio
geek kid at the time.... You hear many stories about what the Call letters stand
for at radio stations aka WLW-Worlds Lowest Wages, WLS Worlds Largest Store
WCFL Chicag Federation of labor and so on etc.....

For years I asked people ; do you know what WEBN's call letters stand for;
and NO ONE could tell me.....well on that drive back to WEBN in the wagon
Frank Sr. told me.... I will tell you next time ! Right from Frank Woods mouth!
WEBN Secret Files

I know that story. I'll let you tell it, but I will say that in my desk drawer, in my home office, I have two rubber stamps. One says "WBFC-FM" and the other says "W???-FM"
