WEBN

When did WEBN start playing Blind Mellon - No Rain? Today ewas the first time I have ever heard it on WEBN.

They are probably trying to keep listeners from switching to 94.9 by tweaking the format. Bad idea.

WEBN played "No Rain" when it came out, and it has appeared from time to time in the rotation. Certainly not a new addition.

You are probably commenting on something you know nothing about. Bad move.

I'm also in the industry.

All I have to say is that SHOOM is da bomb!
I don't care what you say.

I would bet that WEBN will play it straight until 94.9 shows they can string something together. Another issue entirely.

Are you honestly implying that a station's success, or lack there of, is going to be made or broken by the playing of a B-Grade, One Hit Wonder-esque tune like "No Rain"? Seems to be placing alot of power in one song that comes and goes in a standard 90's rotation.

There was nothing One Hit Wonder-esque about that song, it was a pure one hit wonder.

I was giving partial credit for the tune that Shannon Hoon did with Axl Rose before he croaked that was kind of a hit...but your point is well-taken.

Those current soccer billboards are an insult to the brilliance of the many great boards that preceded them. Wow, who came up with those?

Obviously someone who survived the latest round of CCU budget cuts... We’re all familiar with what tends to “float to the top” :-[
