WEBR radio 1440 am and FM 105.3 are looking for a live on-air personality for a Monday to Friday gig. While many stations have automated, we still believe in broadcasters that touch their listeners. If you are experienced and looking to get back on the radio and your format is 70's, 80's and 90's music, please apply. Turn on WEBR or stream at webrradio.com from any device. This opportunity may be for you.

Bill: if you are trying to attract qualified applicants, checking before you post online might help a lot.

Bill, you may want to try Danny Neaverth. The rumor is Buddy Shula fired that legend. He probably will work for cheap now
Hmmm.... this is remarkably similar to a comment on the WECK Facebook page ("He was fired.") posted by the the administrator of the thread following a question about Neaverth. Yes, Dan can be strident at times, usually when he senses somebody's pulling his chain or trying to con him. He's a talented Buffalo legacy who has never said, "Hey everybody, look at me; I'm the biggest and the best. All bow down." Over the years, on WKBW, Channel 7, Channel 2 and WHTT, Neaverth has done countless community benefits and has been generous with his time and talent. His name recognition remains foreground, especially for those in the 55+ demo. "Work for cheap?" Hardly. But he might work for love of the game if treated respectfully and honestly, and paid him a fair but not confiscatory wage. That aside, Neaverth has better things to do, like spending time traveling and enjoying his kids and grand kids. All of which he's entitled.

Wow.

In the communication business?

This ad may scare more people than it attracts.

You should either have someone check over anything you write and clean it up, or just have someone else write things for you.

I’m not trying to say there’s anything wrong with the station. I’m sure you do a great job owning it.

Maybe not on the taxi cab side, but on the radio side, people learn to speak properly, know how to write well, are decent with grammar and know the difference between “there,” “their,” and “they’re.”

It might not be fair in this world, but people do judge you on how you speak and write. In today’s world, people might just not say it, but they will ALWAYS judge you.

If you come off as being completely illiterate, know that nobody wants to work for a “stupid boss.” On the cab side, maybe people don’t care. That’s not a media company, though. Radio is. It’s hard to respect a boss who can’t write a sentence. There is only one sentence in that whole thing that isn’t full of mistakes.

You run a creat cab company, but you do your radio station a disservice by putting something out like that.

I am embarrassed for you.

Is anyone listening to WEBR?
Not anymore. I stopped when they started playing the same music everyone else plays. It's true I'm just one old geezer but I really enjoyed what they were doing when they started. Bigger stations tried this same tactic in the late '70's it didn't work then and it won't work now.
