Website, Articles on Sacramento Radio

For those of you who have been around Sacramento for some time, you will most certainly remember KROY in the early 70's; KZAP in the late 70's, early 80's; and KWOD in the 90's. These stations--especially KROY and KZAP--were done right, having had great personalities who made you feel like a close friend, who talked directly to you, and who made you a part of a larger community (contrast this to radio today).

I found some interesting websites on these stations. You may already know of them, but I'd thought I'd share.

KROY website. (Includes old imaging liners as page loads)

The Legend of KZAP, Sacramento Radio History, and The Rise of Alternative Music. Well researched articles by Alex Cosper, the former PD of KWOD.

These sites certainly brought back some memories to me. I hope they do the same for you.

Enjoy!
