Websites up for Radio One's Cleveland stations...

For whatever reason, I googled all four stations in Radio One's Cleveland cluster.
And behold, they now have actual websites:

WZAK's site is http://www.931wzak.com,
WENZ's site is http://www.z1079fm.com,
WJMO's site is http://www.1490wjmo.com,
and WERE's site is at http://www.1300were.com!

I was aware of WZAK's and WENZ's sites, but WERE's entry is noteworthy in my eyes... because it's reportedly tabbed for an urban talk format come January 1. It is an underdeveloped site, but WERE's current "schedule" is listed - such as it is.

Thoughts?

Radio One's stations...

Radio One's Cleveland cluster.

I just happen to be on the board (for the previous post)
and noticed this post/thread..is this the same
cluster that owns jamestown,ny 93.3 fm ? not a big fan
of the 93.3 format, but the operations of the station
always seem to be very professional.

I will definately check out the other websites..

From this page, it appears that station is owned by "Media One", which is a different company than Radio One.

Radio One is, as far as I know, the largest African-American owned group in the country. Their stations primarily do urban formats, but they do have some that are not. They ran Philadelphia alternative rocker WPLY "Y100" until a year or two ago, when they flipped it to hip hop WPHI.

Hopefully not further confusing matters here, there's also another "Radio One" chain...a small group in northwest Indiana which is not connected to the more widely known Radio One chain. And in Northeast Ohio, "Group One" was once a locally-owned station owner in Akron. Again, no relation to either "Radio One" or "Media One", or for that matter, to Westinghouse's former "Group W".

Yes it is. But we're not really off-topic, or off-board, despite what some people might think..

Media One is owned by none other than former Clevelander Jim Embrescia (brother of Tom, of WWWE/WWWM and WDOK/WRMR ownership).
