Websites with Good Information to ID Stations

I know that the FCC website is the best place to get information about a particular station we may DX.

But there are others out there. Radio-locator comes to mind.

There is another one that I cannot remember, but it does radio and TV, and it uses Google maps to show the station contours. Anyone know of it? They even list recent applications, and list any other frequencies they use for auxliary purposes.

Thanks in advance,

For AM station, try amlogbook.com. For FM all I can think of is radio-locator.com

I had used 100000watts.com but I quit using it because its owner wanted its viewers to subscribe to them and pay for it.

Yeah! 100000watts is a good one, but 90 bucks a year for a 3 searches per day is not worth it. The FCC has mostly the same info and its free.

The one I was looking for had a Radio and TV database.

I know I am going to kick myself when I find it.

Me too on all counts. Amlogbook gets the job done, as does radio-locator. Although r-l will cut you off for the day after a while!

I used to like 100000watts.com, but they priced themselves out of my business. No way I will pay so much for information that can be had elsewhere. $90 is just way too steep. Sorry guys, but it's not worth it. Didn't know that they now limit searches even when you pay! Wow, that's rough.

And, I do pay for things when I see value in them - like REELRADIO.com. Uncle Ricky has such a fine repository of airchecks that it's definitely worth the $1 per month for access ($12/year). Not to mention that it goes to a worthy cause.
