WEBSITES WITHOUT WEEKENDERS

Any reason why B101,Hot106,and FUN107 are the only stations that have photos of weekenders on their websites? I don't think PRO-FM has ever had them. HJY used to. I don't think Coast has ever. And yes I know there aren't many weekenders around anyway. Oh by the way in checking the HOT106 site this Deanna Cruz looks suspiciously like Deedee Moniz at FUN107. In fact...it has to be her.

Yes Dee Dee Moniz works for FUN and HOT, doing FUN Saturdays & Sundays, and HOT on Sunday's and she works there during the week doing marketing or something, not sure though..

PRO-FM's weekenders is there daytime programming, so technically they have their weekenders on their website ;) haha

Maybe it's just me & what radio was like when I was growing up & even when I first got in but there was more of a mystique to it all when you DIDN'T know what the jocks looked like unless you caught one at a personal appearance. Now I swear it's at least 50% marketing the person & less weight on the proof in the pudding (performance) but that's the direction all areas of show biz & media are going. As far as the girl in question who I've never heard (so no offense) but it's just strange to me that someone already has two on-air names when you're probably no older than early to mid 20's with very little experience.

How many weekenders without websites????..too bad more stations don't use weekenders to their advantage IMHO.Where is Steve Valentine, or is it Ballentine aka the Rev. Dr.????? anyone know? Is he still on the Bee?

Steve Valentine is still on B101 Saturdays. He posted here a couple of weeks ago. I think it's buried in that Providence Radio Roll Call thread. But unless he's moved to a different slot I don't hear Big John Bina on Cat Country on Saturdays anymore.

Yes, I'm still at B101...Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m....

Yes, I was the Rev. Dr. at WATD many years ago...it was a part-time gig on Saturdays.

It was a lot of fun, too. I can't believe anybody remembers that, much less heard that show. The station is in Marshfield, MA.

I consider myself fortunate to have stayed at B101 so many years. I've worked with some truly great and fun people and have had dedicated listeners through my 17 years (or however long it's been). As a part-timer, I have the luxury of not taking things too seriously, though I was a full-timer for a few years at different stations after I graduated from college. None of those stations was in Providence, so nobody around here ever heard me before.

hmmm...Steve--what was that chinese joint right across the street...Ming Dynasty?..mmmmmm

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you're too funny Jeff! ;D

Steve's a great guy. Once he showed up at a B101 staff meeting dressed up in a suit and tie and said with a completely straight face (paraphrasing), "I'm from the Clear Channel corporate offices in San Antonio, and the reason we're all here is so I can inform you that you've all been fired."

Is his nickname Nostradamus?

Steve, care to share any old airchecks of the Rev. Dr. here with us?

Hello...I don't have any Rev. Dr. airchecks as far as I know...

Hey Jeff, I still have the headphones with duct tape...but only as a back up...I bought ear buds or whatever you call them...they're less expensive and work for me fine.

Steve Valentine

If someone ever opens up a B101 museum one day, I will expect to see those duct tape headphones in a glass case somewhere. :)
