Webster gone from Alice

From AllAccess.com

"After nearly 11 years in afternoon drive at CBS Hot AC KLLC ([email protected])/SAN FRANCISCO, BILL WEBSTER leaves the building, a victim of budgetary needs. With on-air, production and programming skills, he's looking for his next great adventure in the BAY AREA."

Good talent- Alice's loss

I hope this means the end of alice

How exactly would the "end of Alice" affect you enough to actually hope for it?
You weren't one of the guys forced to listen, were you? God, that's gotta suck (wip sfx).

In an industry full of -------- and jerks, Webster is a pearl. He was the only person who remembered my name on my second day at Alice, and would give his time to talk with kids like me back then. Every radio station should have a guy like Webster, in fact I think if he didn't love being a jock so much he could be a PD and a damn good one. I expect him to be picked up in SF soon. Good Luck buddy

I guess this wasn't an April Fool's joke after all.

Everything changes and, unfortunately, Alice isn't immune. Alice became the great radio station it WAS because of people like Webster back in the early years. The fact that he remained there for over 10 years is a testament to his ability. I hate to see anyone lose there job and even more I hate to see Alice drift closer to joining the list of those great stations from SF's past but that's the way it goes. Bon voyage, Webster. Hope you land soon. Alice, I'll always remember you as the pretty girl you used to be.

Alice really did have a certain edge. I remember hearing airchecks and even some of the retro they threw in, while definitely not mod AC, was still ironic and clever enough. They pulled off an incredible vibe at that station. Hip, urbane, but not obscure, and they'd throw in some surprises at times in the music mix. It's definitely not the station it used to be.

now that mike preston took over it sounds more like crap, more new crap and less good old music

Did Seattle (KBKS) transplant, Marcus D, start there yet? How's he sounding?

webster did a shift on ..k f o g ...today. 10 am -4pm
