Driving back from Conn. was listening to the Sox on WEEI-FM 103.7. They had the score on their RDS; Sox 0 ,Oriloes 0 after 1 inning. They kept that all the way through inning 8. If they are gonna have the score keep it updated.
I don't think that's nitpicking. Some stations have great ideas that they can't keep up with, and it makes things worse than not going forward with the idea in the first place. Do it right, or don't do it.
It's nitpicking if you're saying "Well they could do it, why don't they". It's pointing out their failure when you say "hey it's the 8th inning and it still says 0-0 in the 1st". Again, a case of "don't do it if you can't".
At least we should agree that reading the baseball score off an RDS display sure beats trying to get an update via text message on your cell phone in the car...
