WEEI Invades the North Country beginning in early January.

I heard Dale and Holley on Wednesday talking about it. The only thing I don't understand is why no station in the burlington vt market. The closest in WSNO 1450 Montpelier-Barre but there is no way your going to pick that up in burlington or even williston.

Nassau has no radio properties in the Burlington market at this time. The WEEI deal is set up between WEEI's owners "Entercom" and Nassau's New England stations.. It will be interesting to see which formats and signals give way to the WEEI Network, it doesn;t sound like the total picture is complete, yet..

What's CR doing with 1070 these days? I can't imagine that more than three people listen to chick talk. Why don't they negotiate with Entercom to bring WEEI to 1070?

Yes, I know they carry ESPN on 1390. But they'd get plenty of listeners to Boston-based sports programming as well, and it would give CR another outlet to carry high school sports. They could carry BHS-Rice on 1390, and a big NY game on 1070 in the same time slot. I'll bet all kinds of parents call 1390 to complain about their kids' schools not being aired.

While putting EEI on 1070 in Burlington would be an interesting move, it would not be very productive to be hearing something good with "the Big O" and then all of the sudden the station does dark at sunset, or missing the first hour and a half of Dennis and Callahan..
