A few things...
1. This does not bode well for 890. I am sure Felger's constant bashing of the team did not help in negotiations. How long until this station is 100% national broadcasting?
2. Do D&C have to be a part of this? They do not know football, at all and have to talk to Vince Wilfork. That will be painful. Vince enjoys talking football on a very technical level. This is something D&C cannot do and do not have to do with Brady. With a guy like Brady, who is so engaging and is the "face of the franchise", they can get away with it. The casual listener/football viewer can understand what he does. Very few people can appreciate what a nose tackle does in the course of a football game. Ideally, he gets on with Fred Smerlas, a former nose tackle.
3. I like the guys that Dale and Holley are working with. They are all down to earth, easy to talk to guys. Not all are household names but carry themselves in such a way that listeners will like them. Also, Holley has a great rapport with the Patriots organization.
4. I love hearing Zolak on WEEI. He brings a lot to the table.
