WEEI's Real post game show exists no more?

sox game

nothing to do with pete the meat

the show will still happen when there aren't live sports that interfere I'm sure

The Red Sox game is on and started at about 4:00. The Sox just happen to be on the west coast on the first day of football season. I have heard them allude to the show, but no word on who'll replace Pete S.

It was already made official weeks ago. Neumy will be the host for all Real Postgame shows this season. Smerlas and DeOssie will return as co-hosts. Moreover, Neumy has been added to the the Big Show's co-host roster and will co-host w/Mikey on Monday nights before MNF games starting tomorrow.

you think neumie could ever replace mikey im not here adams half the time?? not that i listen anyhow

Apparently Ted Serandis will have his hours moved to the followup of Pats post-game on 98.5. This puts him up against the ethnic hotdog king on 96.9. And for about two more months Sunday Night MLB on WEEI.

WEEI sched lists Real Postgame show airing 7-9 pm on Sun night (9/19) followed by Sun night football
(though don't games start at 8 Sun nights?). WRKO hasn't updated their sched yet but I wonder
if they may carry one or both of the NFL Mon night games tonight, as WEEI has Sox-Mariners. Not sure if EEI has to shuttle games off to their sister station, by contract...
Pats are at 4 next Sun IIRC, hence RealPostGame following Mike M., at 7.

I developed an intense dislike for Neumy this summer. When he was on mid-days years ago, I only heard him for about 45 min per day. This past summer. at least to me, he came across as a major know-it-all. He seemed very condescending to both co-hosts and callers. He also has a penchant for discussing sports that are not main-stream like horse racing, soccer, gymnastics, and track sports. I guess that won't be a problem on a football show.

While on the subject of football shows, the Sunday AM show was very good. For some reason they start each show with Christian Faurier screaming like a mental patient, but once they get by that it's good. I understand why they don't take calls. Football is pretty technical. People like Steve from Fall River or Danny from Quincy would make the show unlistenable.

WRKO did indeed carry both games of the Monday Night Football doubleheader last night. Sox also have games on Mon 9/20 and Mon 9/27, which may also wind up on 680. Red Sox just about mathematically eliminated from playoff contention as far as I know, so barring any Celtics
pre-season, MNF should return to WEEI after that.

I think that the "?" can be removed from the title of this topic and replaced with a period. What they've put on is beyond horrible; Neumey, Joe Andruzzi, and Troy Brown and a bunch of uncomfortable dead air. They should just switch over to ESPN radio and forget this. 98.5 wins this battle easily.

Monday on the Big Show a caller asked Fred & Steve why they weren't on the 'real post game show'. Awkward silence followed before the caller then asked if they'd be on again. Their answer was something to the effect of 'don't bet on it'.
