If Studio20 is correct, and the Bucs have been sold out since the beginning of the year, then it's a moot point; the locals will be able to show the Bucs game. However, the Tampa/St. Pete CBS station, WTSP, will be able to show only one of the two games they would normally have, as they cannot show any game opposite the home team's game when that game is on TV. According to J.P. Kirby's
NFL maps, both networks are getting a doubleheader this Sunday, so every NFL home market with a Sunday afternoon home game will have one game blacked out, but will still have 3 to show. None of this will affect either Orlando or Fort Myers, as they are secondary markets, not primary.
Using the Syracuse example, when the Bills were at home and the NFC network had the doubleheader, the Buffalo market got only 2 games on Sunday afternoon, but Rochester, Syracuse and Erie got 3. It's only when the Bills didn't sell out that Rochester, Syracuse and Erie couldn't show the Bills, but they still got their 3 games. And when the Bills did sell out, the Buffalo market got 3 games only if the AFC network had the doubleheader. Of course, most people in the Buffalo market using an antenna could still pull in the Rochester or Erie stations, so they weren't affected by the 2-game rule. Most cities in the Phoenix market don't have that "luxury" with the Cardinals.
