Weekend Meteorologist at KNXV

tvspy.com is reporting that Laura Thomas is heading to KNXv, presumably to be the new weekend evening meteorologist. So, now they officially have an all-female weather staff (which is very unusual these days).
 
ABC15 even has a bio up on the website (though no picture).

I seem to remember that 3TV made a big deal about having the only (and maybe first) All Female Anchor Team on the evening news a number of years ago.

There is a Charlie Chaplin-esque video on youtube of a 3TV promotion, with the following wording:

"It's Cameron and Cater Lee at 5 o'clock on 3TV. Patti joins Heidi now at 6pm -- HOLY COW! Cameron's back and so is Heidi at 10pm Monday through Friday!"

Would that be the first all-female anchor team?
 
Is Amber Sullins coming back from her maternity leave? If/when she does that would make five weather people at KNXV.
Thumbs up on Laura Thomas though. She looks like she's going to be a great addition

I assume that Randy Kollins will go back to his "fill-in" role (although with 4 full-time mets on staff, there will presumably be much less "fill-in" work available). I'm sure he could have had the weekend job if he had wanted it, unless the news director was stuck on having four women.

Kollins jumped from CBS5 to ABC15. Maybe he'll make another move.
