Weekends at 98.5 The Sports Hub

Station sounds very good so far but some of these guys like Damon Amendolara seem to be doing 7 days a week. Hope they get a good weekend staff in place soon! Bertrand, Amendolara, and Perks can't work seven days a week. I guess they're giving Amedolara Thursdays off the first couple of weeks due to the Pats though.

Yes I also noticed Amendolara was working either a 6 or 7 day week etc
Maybe when they get some more people in...

Sporting News Radio overnights and weekends; good for sports score updates (I didn't listen long enough but isn't
SNR the type of network that does interviews of people rather than having callers?)...Fox Sports overnight shake up
of course puts Tony Bruno on and then JT goes to 1 am (our time) on; he (JT) has a cult following here what with
stuff like Pop Looney, regular callers, and how he pushes the TOOOOOOOOOWN! (that's what it sounds like) button
when a caller lacks energy or says something really stupid. I like tuning in to hear him when the Yanks lose (last night
he asked how in the world could that huge payroll Yanks lose to the A's, 'in that stadium where they cover a bunch
of seats'--and they played that little musical bit from The Price is Right from when a contestant loses...)

I liked hearing Jerry Trupiano on the morning shifts this past weekend... especially since it meant I could hear sports without having to listen to Mustard and Johnson aka the Obnoxious Yankees Fan show

The Baseball Show was on Saturday morning and Mutt and Bradford were on Sunday. When were Mustard and Johnson on? I turned 'EEI off after both of those shows. I thought Catfish and the Commie were on one of the afternoons.

He worked four days last week, not 7. He worked last Thursday afternoon as a Fenway stringer during Felger+Massarotti's show.

Obviously he won't be on seven days a week. If you had only listened carefully he did mention that these were special weekend editions of his night show. Obviously they had a chance to showcase him with the weekend line-up not quite fully set. The guy is new to the market so this was a good way to break him in.

Mustard & Johnson were on Saturday following the Baseball Show. 12:00pm to 3:00pm I believe. The week before, they were on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. They had a caller on who asked them when they were going to be on, and I'm pretty sure they said they would be on regularly on Saturdays during that 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm timeslot.

Sorry for the uncertainty, but I honestly wasn't listening to them with much attention. It was more to have them on as background noise.

When they announced the comeback on the Big Show, Ordway said that the regular Yankee callers weren't going to be allowed to call every week this time around. He said that they could only call once a month. Are they really doing that ?

I wonder if Ordway has the nerve to have Larry Johnson on the Big Show. If he does it means he's not worried about Felger in the least.

Ok, that's enough on Musthead and the Fatman. Nobody in the world really cares other than the EEI nitwits that continue to shove them down peoples throats. Just another of many D-list talents 'EEI sends our way.

I would doubt it. Between Sun-Tues. I probably heard 45 min's in the car. During that period I managed to catch Frank FG three times. I never heard his voice, the intro was enough.

Sorry we bothered you sir. Please give us permission to discuss another topic.

Did Hardy get his gig because he had a contract with CBS? I like his show from what I have heard, but at the time it seemed odd that he would get/want a weekend gig talking sports. I also heard him doing flashes during Felger's show.

I've been listening to this D. A. guy on 98.5 since noon. So far so good. The guy knows what he's talking about and I haven't heard any "celebrity" callers. This is great especially considering the alternative. He should win the ratings war in this spot for sure.

I'm still on the Amendolara watch. He's been on every day (once twice) since Friday, 8/14. The only exception was this past Thursday. He started with Friday, 8/14 with a special overnight show. Then, the same night 6-11. Then, two weekend shifts during the day. Then, Mon, Tue, Wed, and Fri night. Then, yesterday afternoon. We'll see if he's on today.
