I worked there late 70's/early 80's. I was hired by Mickey Haggerty. When I was there, Haggerty was just stepping down from mornings, and the station was switching to more of an A/C format. Bob Ryan was brought in as PD by the GM, Tom Wolfe. John Knight (Knight in the morning) came in, along with Jane Farmer, who did news on his show. At that time, I was the MD and overnight guy. We also had Geoff Freeman, Carl Baker, Dennis Kelly and a few others who's names have escaped me.
When Knight left, I did mornings for about 4-5 months, then they brought in a new PD, Dave Dillon, who didn't like me, relegated me to overnights again, and fired me a few months later. He really changed a lot at the station, and made it a lot worse, if you ask me. Not too long later, they switched formats, moved some of the staff to the FM side and became 99Q or some such nonsense.
All the best,
Gene O'Brien (no longer doing the radio thing!)
