WEGP 1390 Presque Isle Construction Permit?

Ok, they say it's "on the air" , the new CP, but I cannot notice a difference in the signal at all in Caribou from their old transmitter and power, it's moderately good and even worse at night....

Pftt... "from medway to Madawaska" I got from "Monticello to Stockholm"
it can be on!

and what the deal with WFST, the local religious station on 600, are they moving to FM or staying on AM somewhere else??

AM radio in the county, the pits.

they're probably testing it, so sometimes it's there and sometimes they're back to what they're licensed at (5kw Day and Night)

'FST has an application (along with a bunch of other noncomms) for an FM, I doubt they'd move soley to FM, that'd be a move a Canadian station would make.

AM radio is dead anyway, theres tons of silent, cancelled AM's all around (most went silent 20-30 years ago when their FM partners signed on)

ya true, i'm just tired of waiting, god it's been in a CP for like more than a year now and still nothing

and ya, i don't see WFST moving anytime soon either

And tons more that are just hanging on by a thread, running syndicated programming that no one is listening to. Wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more AMs go dark in the next few years.

ya, I wonder how many ppl in the Presque Isle area actually listen to WEGP, just one syndicated talk after another....

they USED to have a local Morning Show but I Wonder what happened to that.........
"Good Morning Aroostook" with Pat Patterson and Fireman Fred, I remember it now.

Another AM Station that no one listens to is WSYY-AM, but that's another story
