The Price tag for KAZA was $9 million, and it includes the Glendale, CA studio that currently houses Azteca America (at least the West Coast end). So, is Wigel getting into the Spanish Language Media game, or do they have something else in mind down the road?
Two things could happen IMO to KAZA:
1. They get sold at auction and shut down (thus Azteca America could go to KWHY) or...
2. Weigel moves a subchannel network to the .1 of KAZA, like Heroes & Icons. KCOP could either close the 13.4 space or put something new on there. I don't think MeTV will move to KAZA due to KVME in Bishop, and I doubt any of the big 4 in LA (or KTLA) is interested in using channel 20 as a satellite station or even a semi-satellite of one of the stations.

Weigel owns and operates the Telemundo affiliate in Milwaukee, so they do have the experience in running Spanish stations, at least one anyway. The problem for KAZA is that they're competing with four network-owned Spanish outlets (KMEX, KFTR, KVEA, and KRCA), plus KWHY, the wasted bandwidth that is KBEH, and Spanish subchannels elsewhere across the SoCal dial. I think Weigel will keep Azteca on 54.1, but eventually Me-TV and Heroes & Icons will make their way over to KAZA's digital spectrum.
Weigel also has part-ownership in Movies! (with Fox) and Decades (with CBS), but I would more than expect those networks to stay where they are currently.
