Weirdness at WALK 97.5 today

I was listening to WALK online at 2 today when Kara Reifert signed on for the afternoon. Than I went to do some laundry and other house chores before coming back at 3:30 and was surprised that Patrick Shea had taken over for Kara. I wonder what possibly could have occured that would cause a DJ to be switched in the middle of her shift which wasn't scheduled to end until 7. WALK doesn't strike me as an outfit that would terminate someone in the middle of their shift. I was genuinely surprised.

First, I'm glad to see that Kara is back working on an AC station. That is the format where her talents are best heard. Second, why do you have to jump to "terminated"? Isn't it likely that she wasn't feeling well and went home ill? Did you call Patrick and ask?

I'm not sure what the case was yet... but let me remind you WALK is part of the outfit (wktu) that had a similar incident occur with one of the most ledgendary jocks of all times... Broadway Bill-lee. A Jock who's name will live on well after he's gone, as successful as they come yet... his dismissal came smack in the middle of afternoon drive.

Kara was not feeling well and Patrick finished the shift.
