So if he comes back, any chance he's written any new material in the past two years? Or will it be stripper showers and firecrackers and stories about how mean his dad was? Then a replay on Friday of all the excellence from the previous 4 days?

That and when Riddlemouser left (and if memory serves me correctly those two events happend within just months of each other...maybe 3??) I didn't want to hear some middle aged man playing a guitar on the air like he was part of some garage band. However even towards the very end, there were still some pretty funny shows. Was it his best work? No, by far it wasn't.
But, what was the alternative at the time? Hell, what's the alternative now? Unless you like the same tired old music day in and day out, sports talk, or news then you are pretty much screwed in anything to listen to in this market that's entertaining and fresh for the most part.
Maybe the last almost 2 years have given Russ some new material. Maybe not, the only way to find out for sure is to listen to the show. I do think that it won't be the same show as before. How can it be? Two cast members will not be a part of it (JD and Dan) The only ones left are Trey and Clo. Maybe Russ can dig up Riddlemouser from where ever it was that he went off to and maybe Eddie Boyd. Whatever the case may be, it's going to have to be different.

Well lets take a look at Lex and Terry show while they were on the Eagle. You have 2 dull white guys who tried to sound local but failed to be interesting. A black guy for colorful comments (no pun intended) and last but not least the "sexy" chick call screener who's sole job was to bore you to death. Now when they weighed in on news and such (and D wasn't speaking) i could stand to have them on my radio. However they would quickly go to their tired old bits. Russ on the otherhand was fantastic when him and his crew weighed in on the news.

Same can be said for Russ......talking about opening a bar, his band, spittleville movie, torturing cast members...finding some audio and running it into the ground. HIs show became stale the last 2 years....And I won't be surprised that he doesnt do the same thing on CC. Blame CBS for ruining his show and running him off, blaming JD since he wont be on the new show.....so my bet....New station and call letters....same show.
