Just checked out the Harbor's Facebook page - and OUCH...looks like not one fan on there...just p/oed listeners..LOL.
Hate to be the one who moderates that FB page! Check out the replies to the first post... lol

This comment says it all:

"Even deaf people hate your new station. If I ever hang myself, I will make sure to have your station on in the background when I kick the chair out from under me. GFY."

Wow... LOL...Welcome to Boston WHBA!! LMAO... ;)
‎"I want to hear all the ClearChannel execs commit mass suicide on air. Then switch to a 24-hour power electronics format for at least a week."
‎"George Jefferson just flipped on your station and immediately dropped dead. Good work morons!"
Will be interesting to see how long the disruptive posts keep up for, amazed they didn't have someone ready to moderate posts...

Again, where were these listeners? Even counting the stream, it only got in the low- 1 shares. I guarantee the Harbor will beat FNX in revenue and ratings in 3 books.

With all the ownage going on, I think the one comment that stood out was "There is more creativity and originality in this FB thread then will ever be on the Harbor. True story."

But obviously cd 101 and the former indie 1031 and the former fnx there number one goal was to never make a ton of cash or they never would have existed in the first place. The harbour may very well bring in alot more coin but the music wont be near as enjoyable.

Do you work for CC or something?

It won't mean anything, because WROR and WZLX already play 95% of these songs with stronger signals. People won't stick around for the commercials on this station. It would be a waste to advertise on it.

Nope. I even listen to FNX at times. I just don't see the use of complaining about a station which had low ratings and can easily be streamed, as I'm doing so right now. Plus, 92.5 and 92.9 play a lot of the music from FNX, so it's not like their terrestrial options are gone.

Well, I agree with your frustration about the ratings... but it's still sad to see such an influential station go.

Anyways, what's not been mentioned is that the REAL last song (meaning REAL song WFNX ever played on 101.7) played was the Imagine Dragons "It's Time" (how fitting...)

I agree that it's always a shame to see a station with a great heritage/history go away, but why the rage at CC? They were just a buyer. Entercom or CBS could've easily bought the station as well.

The fan base should be taking their rage out on station management who put the station up on the auction block.

That being said, where is info on the raitings of this station, I tried looking it up and could've find anything.

Also, is there a stream for this? I'm just curious to hear what it sounds like.

I thought the call letters were WHBA, my RDS says KCTI

That's just CC's system of having a 1 as the first digit of the PI code for their stations. The reason, so I've been told, is something to do with their TMC traffic information system that is sent out with RDS to GPS units. It's the same with 94.5, 107.9, and almost all of their other stations.

CC stated that it is "the area’s first Variety Hit music station that will 'play anything'." True, but we did have a station that would 'play everything'. Guess "Michael" is to be forgotten. ;)

I have no problem with a "Jack" format--- I actually used to listen to 93.7 Mike-FM from time to time...

I only wish that it didn't have to come back at the expense of WFNX. I would have rather seen another
Boston station--- ANY other station be sacrificed, other than FNX.

Damn. :(

Louie Anderson? Is that the voice?
Think it's Patton Oswalt, if not very similar voice.
