I would take it, too. Even though it is an AM station, it is the ONLY 5kw AM station (all other area AMs are 1kw) and it has better than average night service. In other words WELE has the best AM signal (day and night) from Flagler Beach to South Daytona, Port Orange, and during the daytime, New Smyrna Beach.
 
It does have the best AM signal, but the key word is "AM". AM's are having issues drawing any meaningful ratings/audience outside of a major market, and the future is not so bright as well. There may be people like Mark who would be interested, but at what price? There is a reason it is for sale, and in many AM situations, it relates to finances. I could be wrong and it could be a big money maker, but I have my doubts. There is also the strange license situation as well, so....
 
WNAK would have the best AM signal in Volusia county if you replaced the tower it snapped in half during a hurricane in 2004 dramatically decreasing signal strength. I know I was working at WKRP south at the time instead of repairing or replacing tower Doug just put a red light on top of what was left of the tower.MR. Walters I can assure you when I was sales Manager at WNAK it was a easy sell I sold a minimum of $15 grand a month cash sales WNDB monitor WNAK when a new advertiser was on air WNDB would send there minions into the merchant's slamming WELE with Black Crow multi station package deals. It was great for my ego I looked at it like if Black Crow is worried about what Mike is doing over at WNAK sending there sales people in to WNAK advertisers to ridicule WNAK it told me I was doing my job
