WELE Files For License Renew? Still not renewed from '04...

What is going to happen in regards to the station with Big John and Goliath Radio trying to get the license transfer from Wilhite? How will this work? Sticky ain't it....

WELE is being operated by Goliath Radio, LLC under a Local Marketing Agreement with a pending call letter change to WFBJ. The latest license transfer application was filed recently to transfer the license from F. Dougls Wilhite to Lori Patton, Trustee:

Hate to think what WFBJ could stand for. Or are they trying on purpose to make it sound like the calls WMFJ 1450 in Daytona for decades and decades.

Is Wilhite involved at station anymore? I can understand with all the issues he has had the last 3 years why they filed bankruptcy. Hopefully, the court and FCC will get this moving soon.

WFBJ stands for "Friends of Big John".

F. Douglas Wilhite is still listed as the sole stockholder and owner of WELE.

Any new updates? Has ownership finally transferred, or is it still with bankruptcy court? Has the License renewal been done?

Nothing... absolutely nothing. They are still operating and no news on anything going on with the FCC since August 2012. And action with them is what starts all the other pending actions and wants by Big John to own the station.
