Apparently, they're talking about WVIM, 95.3.

Yes, they are talking about WVIM 95.3 which puts a marginal at best signal into southern sections Of Memphis.

However, all of First Broadcasting's stations for are for, including WVIM!How do I know this? I've seen the listing from the broker who is handling the deal.....

Its interesting that First Broadcasting hasnt spent a dime on Arbitron. They never show up. I would think that they could maybe make a few changes and get the station rolling and turn a profit. Those canned dj's are the worst.
Edited by ElmoreGantry on 03/06/06 12:20 AM.

The last time I looked, it was bought for 2.1 million. They have done upgrades to the signal, but not much else.

That is a lot of what First B'casting does. Buy rimshots, make some improvements to get a better market signal (as best they can) and sell.

Kinda like the Devine/Buzil guys in Chicago with Marathon and whatever their other entities are.

Some stations, they keep. Most they sell.

Just an observation...
