We'll Be Back in 60 Seconds...

This has to be the most inane phrase I've ever heard on sports talk radio.
I know ClearChannel does this as part of their "Less is More" campaign, but
I can't figure out how this works for sports radio. What's worse is that
on Dan Sileo's show in Orlando (simulcast in Tampa...why I'll never know)
does his the first segment of the hour, comes back and goes into another
commercial spot! Personally, I think that it disrupts the flow of the program
(especially when there is a caller segment), and can be done more surreptitious-
ly, like between the end of a segment and an update segment. But I would really
like to know why this is absolutely necessary.

I think it is ok to say "we'll be back in 60 seconds" cuz then the listeners of the program will know they'll be back soon and then they won't change the station during a long commercial break.
