and i recall correctly, WPIL is 1,000 Watts at 3 feet HAAT. Where's the antenna? Hung on the doorknob? :)
 
It just sounds better when you say 1kw vs 370 watts! They basically have the same contour map.
 
You never know, I imagine if WPIL is able to bring in listeners and monetary support then it would make sense to have it on that format. He was doing talk and oldies if I remember right on the frequencies that he traded for this 100kw station and neither one of those will bring in listener support for a non-comm.
