I got an HD Radio for the casa yesterday. It is awesome!!! The Oasis is great - mostly all instrumental (no Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Gerry Raffferty, Kenny Loggins or Janet Jackson) all real smooth jazz such as Chris Botti, Gerald Albright, Mindi Abair, Dave Koz etc... AND (so far) no commercials. 99.5 has a decent CHR station and 106.1 has Pride which is upbeat (but no KDL). Unable to pick up AAA The Summit 102.9 - is that still on air?

Thanks, but on second thought, I don't want an HD radio. I haven't listened to HD radio, and I won't listen to HD radio in the future. I will come on to message boards and bitch about not listening to it, though. ;D

See, if I was KVIL, I'd have launched the early start of Christmas music on one of their HD's. An incintive for getting people to actually buy one.

I think it's both... their scruples have reputations and their bad advice lives in eternity, at least with CBS and CC ;D
 
I was looking at the specifications on that thing. $199 for a digital radio with 10% Harmonic Distortion on the audio side? What's the benefit of that? I guess quality doesn't matter anymore, as long as it's digital.

You got that right....if it aint digital, it aint good (personally, I miss analog cell phones..they may have gotten noisy but you could still HEAR the person and understand them) Digital may be for "non-moving" RF (point to point microwave, etc)...but add in motion and its a whole new ballgame!!
