Well something's finally right in this market!

Clear Channel finally did something right for once. 93.1 The Party suits Las Vegas, NV. I'm listening online and CANNOT wait until the next time I'm in Las Vegas to hear this on my walkman walking down the Strip! But that is only one thing - what they really should have done is changed 101.9 though from Spanish - I just cannot stand Spanish music unless it's CHR or on WIZT 92.9 - a pirate station somewhere around Milwaukee, WI.

Clear Channel has obviously jumped on the bandwagon this time but now they've eliminated the oldies and top 40 format in this market. What are they thinking? I have seen more changes in this market than any other, with the exception of Dallas, TX. Las Vegas is obviously coming and going, growing and growing.

You have the audacity to suggest 101.9 switch format just because you, a non-Hispanic white boy living in Milwaukee, don't like "Spanish music".

KWID was the #2 station 25-54 in the Spring 2006 book. they took a dip in the trend but are still one of the higher rated stations in LV. The 101.9 signal was "cursed" for years until they found success with Preciosa.

As for PARTY, what fascinates me about that format is that it has the potential to steal audience from several stations that have little in common with each other. For example, STAR and KLUC.

Speaking of KLUC, somebody told me they heard the morning zoo discuss/criticize PARTY, the Whoppi show in particular. I am surprised a heritage station like that would mention or bring attention to a new competitor.

You shouldn't have to wait to be in Vegas to listen.
I listen to that station and an announcement stated that their programming is on the internet.
