Well, Well..................

I have to admit, I am having a good laugh. I am 2-0 and you guys are 0-2. However, seriously, most of this is really common sense or basic economics. I love the music that 'DJO plays. When any company, in any sector of the economy is poorly run, these types of issues will happen, each and every time, read the Wall Street Journal. I seriously doubt 'DJO will be around in a couple of years, let us put it that way. I love oldies, but, you also have to pay attention to business principles, like them or not.

O.K., Bill Drake: What would YOU do with a 4300/300 watt A.M. facility located at the ass end of the dial?

Kind of cryptic....

What did you prove right or what are having a chuckle over?

Last I checked, 1480 is still on the air and they are also streaming 128k stereo on the net. Who needs to listen to their Low-Fi Ancient Modulation signal anyway.

LOL, funny, I would try to sell it, not sure who would want it? I doubt you could get very much for it in this economy.

I was right that they were going to have a number of lawsuits filed against them, when the station is run in such a poor and crappy manner. Normally, when a company cannot generate revenue, they will have a problem paying the bills and keeping the lights on.

I agree, why would you listen to AM when you have a 128K streaming audio???

Congratulations. Have you broken your arm yet, patting yourself on the back repeatedly?

Please.

Here's his original quote from early February:

"Before the end of the month, something very interesting will happen with 'DJO. You doubted me the last time, do not this time."

Does this sound like he's talking about lawsuits? And if you really want a good laugh, Google his name (like Marty earlier suggested)...

He hasn't been proven right about anything. He's 2-0 in successfully trolling, but that's about it. He's proven that he knows nothing about what's going on at WDJO, and I'd hazard a guess he knows nothing about any other station in town as well.

If you're going to troll, at least be interesting or amusing. This is weak.

Well, unless your working for the Civil court in Hamilton and are privy to knowledge the rest of us do not have.....

I don't see a number of lawsuits filed, here. Well, i guess 1 is a number (the lonely-est number that you'll ever do).
Usually, when someone says "a number" it means more that just a couple and that just isn't happening.

It is three, two by Steve Overbeck for breach of contract and the other by Duke Realty for lease breaking or whatever that is. And since they went to all the trouble of trying to dodge the law by changing their DBA name, they have five listed. So far.

Overbeck filed two? Then, what, the lawsuits were not amended to reflect the correct name but, refiled?
I will tell you that that name change happened long before any lawsuit. You cannot just fire up a new corporation and
move assets to it. The court sees through a maneuver of that sort. This is why, in bankruptcy, the court has the power to reach back and examine previous transactions. I am pretty sure that the new name came about when
they set out to pick up 1480.

NDXUFAN You used to love wdjo. Since dusty left you flame us. Why? We still love the King. You seem very angry. Datehookup.com not working out for you?

Relax. It's just radio. We should all be friends here. No problem to disagree. I do everyday with Rodger. But I do it to make us better... to build us all up.... Not to tear down.

The sniping is useless unless you are trying to hurt for your personal gain or worse for schadenfreude.

be constructive or be quiet.

Marty, think about taking your own advice, buddy, instead of passive aggressively attacking NDXU by embarrassing him with posts he has made on other sites that have nothing to do with radio. Nobody from WDJO but you ever comments constructivly about anything that goes on there except to say we gotta pay the bills. That is a fact, but it doesn't mean the comments or criticism about it on this board isn't valid.

NDXUFAN thumps his chest about how the station is "going down" and drops little "nuggets" of wild speculation and half truths about the behind the scenes business workings of the station--- all while he hides behind a screen name---

wanna talk imaging? Imus? Music Shift? Signal? COOL! Wanna just tear down because of some unknowable personal agenda--- I think that is wrong. BoBo, I'm a bit surprised you do not agree---

PS-- I'm in studio on Saturday nights from 7 until the requests slots fill up. Feel free to call 513.749.1480 if you wanna hear a song or chew me out in person!

Marty, you are one of my favorite people on the radio. I started listening to you in around 1987 or so, on 1230, those were happy memories. No, not mad, at all. I will never forget the time in 1996, I called you to request the "Dusty" song by the Ragdolls and then we proceeded to mess with Dusty over property taxes, a good time :) In fact, I did buy an excellent FM transmitter, so I could blast the oldies around my house on all of the FM radios. It is the Fail Safe FM transmitter on Amazon and it is a very, very good product. I want all oldies stations to do well and to succeed. Do I want something bad to happen to an oldies station, of course not. When you were the leader at 'GRR, it was an awesome station. I do not know anyone at 'DJO, not one individual. In fact, it made me sad when something would happen to 'DJO.

All of the stuff that is happening in the courts is a matter of public record, unless there is a gag order or a court record is sealed. Really, anyone can go to the Hamilton County Courts on the internet and see what is going on in the court system. If any one of you has read the Cincinnati Court Index, basically the same thing, published every business day, garnishments, bankruptcy cases, attorneys use it all of the time. The only reason that I came back to the board was to say that I was honest and did not mislead anyone. Life is full of disagreements, but, that does not mean that people cannot be friends. I look at this board like a basketball game and after the game, we have fun and go get a few beers. Oldies has been my favorite format since I was a young kid of all of 12 years on this earth. In fact, I think many of these posts are funny.

Very good point, many people try to fool the bankruptcy courts, such as moving money around, away from creditors.

But, the takeaway here, NDXU is that the second corp. wasn't just fired up to dodge or mislead. They did this when they took on 1480.
I remember when i bought station number three the bank forced me to set up a second corporation.
It took me a couple of years and a few thousand dollars to merge the two.

Crappy deal.
