WEMP 101.9 Has begun Newscasts

But the format is not in full place. As I'm posting they're playing just out of the 5PM newscast,

It's starting to look like the official launch date for the new format will be Monday Aug 1st as many had predicted. Lets see, right now we have Weather and Traffic around the Clock. There has been entertainment news and now we have had some hourly Newscasts. All that's missing are the actual program Hosts whom ever they will be. I haven't heard one of the newscasts yet. Was sports or at least baseball scores included with the news or is sports an area that might not be of interest to the so called female target audience. This morning there was mention that the station will have a weatherman and he will be introduced tomorrow (Tue) morning. They gave his name but it was not a name that I knew. I guess we are getting close to finding out what the new format will be and whether Music will be a part of it
 
Tuned in this Morning between 7:45 and 9:30 expecting to hear a news cast and did not hear any.
I did hear the new Weatherman. Jeff McKay just doing traffic now. Were there any newscasts this Morning before I tuned in. like at 6 or 7 am. Why do News at 4 and 5 in the afternoon and not at 8am. I did not get to hear the Monday afternoon Newscasts mentioned in this post.
 
I also tuned in at 8:00 AM to hear the newscast...can anyone confirm if there wasany newscasts on this monring before 8AM ?

If this is the real deal then I would think both stations would not be news/talk but almost exclusively NEWS or the station name ends up being misleading. But, we don't know who registered these names, and it could be just another smokescreen.

Or, is this a gradual ramp up from FM NEW to FM NEWS?
