WEMP Running Spot Contrasting Themselves With WINS

Hearing an ancient WINS jingle on WEMP 101.9 caught my attention. It apparently was from the AM station's days as a Top 40 outlet. The spot went on to state that WINS has been around for a long time, perhaps implying it is rather old fashioned.
Then came the message that instead of taking 22 minutes to air the news, WEMP needs only ten, "With half the commercials."
Could this be an effective ad?

Golly gee, I wonder why they only have half the commercials?

Maybe it's because they have 1/6 of the ratings?

Bet they would love to have as many spots as WINS...

Isn't one of the biggest motivators in flipping to news the ability to run massive spot loads?

Sounds like sour grapes!
