WENDs' "Everything That Rocks" Weekend

In my opinion, PD Jack Daniel should program these more often.

Longest stretch I listened to the station in months.

"Everything That Rocks" is almost the moniker of Active Rocker 93.3/The Planet (WTPT-Forest City/Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson), whose moniker is "If It Rocks, It's On 93.3/The Planet".

106.5/The End was also monikering "No Rules, Just Rock" - the moniker used by 100.3/The Buzzard (WVBZ/High Point).

It would be great if 106.5/The End would become a true Active/Classic Rocker, by programming the hair bands they played this weekend, along w/the Active Rock songs they normally program during the week.

It would take a bite out of 99.7/The Fox WRFX, as well as The Planet, a station a lot of people truly enjoy, even though it's not in Charlotte.

Charlotte, the largest city between DC & Atlanta, needs its' own Active Rocker & an alternative to WRFX.

First of all, it's not going to compete WRFX. Clear Channel owns both. Personally, I'd like to see it go more mainstream AAA like Atlanta's Dave-FM. However, I don't think it would pull in the numbers that it does as a modern rocker.

"Everything That Rocks" is what SAGA uses for it's HOG Branding as well as what WBBB uses in RDU!!! Wonder if Jack is testing the waters a bit yet giving it the appearence that it is a theme weekend... CC1

Plus, sorry to say it..but The Planet is not really a Charlotte based radio station. It's more of a Greenville, SC station. But it's a good station. I wish that they could compete with WEND in Charlotte if they grow there signal.

The End has been cruddy for an alternative station for a long time. Yes, they should throw in the towel and rebrand themselves as an active/mainstream rock station. But please, no more Vixen or Warrant. Those bands should have been buried years ago!

Other than playing stuff you already hear on The Fox, I didn't think they strayed too far from their normal playlist. They never were alternative, they have always been modern rock. AAA is now what alternative once was. Modern Rock and Active Rock are not that far apart anymore like they were 10-15 years ago.
