I just happened to go look at the WDJConline.com site today and noticed that it just says WDJC Mornings. Are Wendy & Ken out? Who is replacing them?

They were let go last Friday.

Okay now they got rid of Mark and Mack for a more family friendly show of Wendy and Ken and now they are saying uh oh might of made a mistake!! Doesn't make much since to me. I adored Wendy and Ken and didn't have to worry at all about what was said. Give me a break!!

I was shocked to hear that Wendy and Ken were taken of the air. They were rock solid. I loved listening to them. Good luck in whatever they do in the future.

I asked around a little bit and apparently WDJC has learned that being too nice doesn't sell. For the cost of the morning show, the advertising revenue wasn't supporting the show continuing. It's unfortunate, but a necessity to running a business.

Business is business. You are right though, if they were not bringing in the revenue then there is no point in having them. Unfortunatley that is true in alot of cases. High ratings does not always mean great sales.

The problem wasn't Wendy and Ken.. it's Crawford (the owner).
Most advertisers with any knowledge of the business won't place a buy on his stations,
regardless of ratings because he's so unreasonable.

I was listening to WDJC tonight, and there were several mentions about listening this coming Monday at 6:00 am to "Get on Board". I wonder if that's an announcement/beginning of a new morning show... ???

When I was in college in Tuscaloosa, my friends and I referred to WDJC as "We Do Just Commercials"; one day in early 2002, I actually observed 19 minutes between songs. I guess what they lacked in margin, they made up in volume!

I tell my wife that the WDJC call letters should stand for "We Do Jabber Constantly". :D
Forget the new morning show...Crawford should try to reduce some of those commercials and chit-chat instead.

Considering how 93.7 WDJC does in the ratings, you'd think someone might have considered taking them on, even as a jukebox flanker for another station with similar demos.

(I'm looking at you, 94.5, 97.3, & 101.5.)

101.5, 97.3 and 94.5 are all unlikely

Don't forget: 101.5 is a repeater for non-commercial WGIB (91.9), so don't look for anything to happen there.

Do Citadel or Cox currently have any contemporary Christian stations?

I don't like the change but still tried to listen the last two mornings just to be fair to TNT ::)

After this mornings GREAT idea of wearing monkey suits holding signs stating "DARWIN WAS ON CRACK" I am done listening to the "new" morning show on WDJC.

Oh, I know. It's just being tragically wasted as a broadcast channel, though.
