Wendy Snyder & CKG

In Feder's column this morning, he talks about that insiders say Wendy Snyder could be on her way out as one of Steve Dahl's afternoon sidekicks. Plus plans also are in the works to replace the station's low-rated midday show, hosted by Pete McMurray and Maura Myles, with the evening duo of Stan Lawrence and Terry Armour.

Best bet to pick up an evening slot is Susanna Homan, who writes the "Susanna's Night Out" column for the Sun-Times and has been a frequent contributor to WCKG.

Who likes this idea? Not me. I think Wendy is a perfect contributer to the Dahl show. If he only has buzz, his show will be very slow pace and boring.

Also, Stan & Terry....PLEASE! I cannot stand listening to this show. I get mad when i'm in my car past 7, I don't have anything on CKG to listen to. I agree with getting rid of Pete though. I did hear Susanna on Friday night, I actually liked it. I found it way better then Stan and Terry.

Why can't CKG do this?

Mornings: Rover
Midday: Bill O'Riely (LIVE) (to go against RUSH)
Afternoons: Dahl with Buzz & Wendy
7-10: [Notice I added an hour) Susanna Homan (Or whatever they can come up with)
10-12: Love Line

This is just my opinion

Actually, You know who sounded pretty good was Freak. Him and some guy I wasnt familiar with did Bob & Mary Ann's slot last week. Was his name DJ? Anyway they reminded me of Frankie & Jerome a little. Anything ,ANYTHING is better than Stan & Terry . They talk about NOTHING.......

Yeah but, Freak, Sludge, Java Joel, those guys are good when they are playing music as well. I don't know, I can't see anything to be that that interesting. Maybe something syndicated. I just don't think CKG wants to throw down that kind of money.

Stan and Terry

Are the WORST - Do you know what they are always talking about when I tune? usualy ribs or food - no matter when I tune in. How about putting Bob and Marianne (Or Maryanne)live at night or something?? What if they do something totaly different and find someone syndicated to put in the midday....

Pete has his problems - Way too much sports - so much it is annoying, or his Mortgage guy that is on for like an hour once a week - BOR-ING

KEV - we need you!!!!

my $0.02

This must be that new Program Director working behind the scenes, the guy who was booted from WSCR & WBBM and was put out to pasture at CKG - what's his name?

Wow. I forgot about WCKG. I see nothing's changed. Talk, boredom and bill well with dead air and the walking corpse.

Should be interesting to see what happens when the entire stations bills about 60% less in 06 AND B96 sinks lower causing erosion in revenue.

Even more interesting if Emmis winds up picking up ABC's stations. I hear they have the financing in place. Nothing guaranteed but their pockets are lined with credit to do it. If you care about radio, it's going to be interesting.

Emmis won't have ABC's stations. According to Allaccess.com yesterday, The FINANCIAL TIMES reports that DISNEY has narrowed the bidding for ABC RADIO down to three groups, including ENTERCOM, CUMULUS, and a group backed by KOHLBERG KRAVIS ROBERTS. The report indicated that the deal, which could be announced before the end of the year, is in the $2-3 billion range; as previously reported, the deal would be set up as a "reverse Morris trust" with DISNEY stockholders owning about half of the new entity.

Drew Hayes--although I believe that he's still in charge at 'BBM and wasn't involved at the Score at all.
