Wendy Williams on KDAY

Any one know when they're airing it? And the press release says this is her first ever appearance on L.A. radio, which is blatantly false, as she was on KKBT in the middle of the night for quite some time...

There was a new release that her syndicated show ""The Wendy Williams Experience" was going to be on KKBT starting the beginning of February 2005.
Not sure how long it aired... but you are correct she has been on the air in this market before...

I am sorry, but I just think that the show is AWFUL! And, apparently I am not alone...it generates a lot of tune-outs among those who [foolishly] expect their urban contemporary or urban/AC station to play music in the afternoon. And, the talk on her show is just not interesting. Pointless streams of consciousness.

It just amazes me that her show gets the traction that it does despite low ratings in a number of markets like Philly and Hartford (where the station she was on just went alternative rock). Luckily (for her) she does great in her home market of New York - which is what generates these syndication deals. But, it may well be that she's just really a New York phenom. Not all personalities translate well outside of their home markets (or regions). Will she play in LA? I guess we'll see.

But, take my word for it, it is a dreadful show. Too bad for listeners of KKBT or KDAY (or wherever she ends up) :p

I agree. I had a chance to listen to her show when I lived in Milwaukee while it aired on WMCS and later here in Charlotte on WQNC. Both stations have since dropped the show. No offense to those who like the show but I just found it painful to listen to. It's basically 4 hours of gossip, bad gossip at that.

Please whatever they do, don't give us another damn Urban AC.

We need another station playing Let's Groove Tonight like Santa Ana needs another Taco stand.
