Birmingham WENN 1320 power restoration

WENN "Beautiful 1320" has returned to its licensed 5 kw day power, as of April 1. This was filed with the FCC today.

No word yet on who the buyer of the station is, at least from what I've seen on the FCC site.

I enjoy listening to Beautiful 1320 while in my car but have yet to hear a commercial. That doesn’t bode well for their future.

Unless part of a cluster, any new station or format takes months to develop clients.

My guess is WENN is currently being leased (and will eventually be sold) to a nonprofit group. There are only around ten or so beautiful music stations on AM/FM in the US today and about half of those are owned by nonprofit entities.
