It was a nice day, so I decided to head back to the Gulf where I did my last video there and see what a difference the loop antenna makes.
It didn't make any noticable difference on 1030 where I had heard that religious station I thought could have been from Corpus Christi in back of a Spanish station but I did get some interesting catches a little different than last time. I was there from about 12:15 until almost 1 pm.
Last time, I didn't even look for this one but remembered to this time.
It's 1640 WTNI from Biloxi, Miss. It's a pretty good signal for 400 miles.

This next one is 740 AM and like last time, I was hoping to hear a better signal from the one station in the background I thought may be KTRH from Houston.
I think you can hear it better this time in the background of WYGM and some Spanish station.

This next one is on 790 where I could hear many stations at once and like 740, more is heard on this frequency at the Gulf than back in Tampa and the loop made a difference on this frequency too.
According to the AM logbook, stations that should be heard are WLBE Leesburg, WPNN Pensacola, WAXY South Miami. Another station on 790 is KBME Houston which sends a strong signal out on the Gulf. There's Radio Reloj there too.

I also had to see what the loop could possibly pick up on 1700 which didn't have anything last time. I was able to get a weak signal from WJCC Miami Springs when I faced the antenna in that direction but that's not what I was looking for and I had to see what happened if I nulled out that station and faced the radio and antenna to the WSW in the direction of Brownsville. There was 'something' there but not nearly strong enough to be audible. If WTNI Biloxi had as good a signal as it did at 400 miles, could a trace of KVNS make it 900 miles?

I think for the most part, the loop made a noticable difference.
