I dont know about you, but I was shocked that the Sirius Dance Channels didnt even attend WMC this year, anyway, I just got fed up with hearing the same 5 dance songs over and over, Im tired of hearing played out POP Remixes a million times a day, Not to mention the lack of Mixshows on Sirius,, the only decent mixshow Sirius has going for it is Invasion, plus,, the lack of House Music on Sirius, the true undergound House music is not their, Oustide of mixshows. XM has (THE MOVE)- which is Mostly House Music, Deep and Progressive,, and then BPM for Dance hits, But way better than the BEAT,, No cheesey imaging, and no MR .Seth, and then THE SYSTEM, seems to be mostly Trance, like Area 33, so I dont see that I lost anything,,, and I gained a House Channel, and more Mixshows.

True... but I'm sticking with SIRIUS for BBC Radio 1, esp. for the weekend shows... "We Continue!" ;)

Huh? The Invasion is live at the WMC Friday, Saturday and Sunday night!

The Beat is playing interviews and mixshows all next week.

Plus, nowhere on XM can you get BBC Radio 1...that alone makes Sirius worth it for dance fans.

You guys are right,,, It does suck to loose BBC, but at least I get it on the WEB.

BTW, Area 33 live at the Crobar tonight...one of the best mixshows I've ever heard on satellite going on right now...this stuff is hot!

Sirius should bring back REMIX, and dump boom box, boom box is a wast of space, I often check them them out just to give them a chance, it's always as bad as the last time I checked them out, always some rap break beat (BLEEP).

Hoss, You and me have pretty similar tastes in Dance Music, We both love House Music, Mainly House from the UK, and France. And I dont know about you, but I also like Progressive Styles,. and the Dark Tribal stuff, and I also like the Deep Soulful, and Funky House as well The Move on XM is pretty good about serving up different styles of House, as well as bringing us alot of Mishows throughout the day. Actually all 3 of XMs Dance Channels were airing Live Mixshows from the Ultra Music Fest last night, it was tuff to decide which mixhow to stay tuned in to. As far as missing BBC,,, Well I still get Pete Tong, as well as the Judge on my XM. So I still get the Best BBC shows.

I agree that "BBC Radio 1" is worth the subscription price by itself. But anyway, I'm not going to argue whether XM or Sirius is better for dance. I subscribe to both and love both services. They really aren't that expensive. Just $12 bucks a month (who doesn't blow that much everyday?).
I guess for most formats I prefer Sirius, but for dance I lean towards XM. But I love having both with more choices and that's what I would recommend. (Heck, I'd subscribe to a 3rd service if it were out there.)

The only way to change a product is to make yourself heard...I suggest e-mailing and calling these guys until ya annoy the living hell out of em :)

Sirius Dance is pathetic.

To think in 2004 I was thinking about getting Sirius because they had Remix and the Vortex and XM did not add any new channels. What a change 2 years can make. First Sirius gets rid of Vortex to add a crappy Chill channel which is not even real Chill music but mostly pop and rock junk. Then they add Boombox which is not even dance but rap. Then they get rid of Remix and decide to keep Boombox. XM actually adds a real Chill channel. XM has a remix channel and real dance hits channel and other forms of dance. I have XM and listen to them much more than Sirius, especially dance.

Yeah, the chill channel isn't all that great, but I can still listen to it. However, boombox is more breaks, DnB and mashups than anything else...90% of the breaks tunes I hear on Boombox is the same breaks that Annie Mac or the Breezeblock play on Radio 1. So far, I've got no complaints. <P ID="signature">______________
