WENU-1410-S. GLENS FALLS, CLASSIC COUNTRY

WENU-AM 1410 has switched to a classic country format that is satellite delivered. Not sure which service it is yet. I previously had a nostagic format, also satellite delivered.

So....Who else is changing formats in the next several weeks????? ::) ::) ::)

I have now been able to identify the service as being from Dial Global. This format is the same one that was used in the past by the former WPTR-FM 96.3 (now WAJZ), WVKZ- 1240 Schenectady, and the former WEGQ 93.7, the Eagle, Scotia.

I hope WHUC will be next to flip to classic country of the 60's and 70's. WHUC has been with adult standards for many years. If they give up some older listeners if they are over 60, they should not be listening to this station. WHUC has a terrible signal in Kingston, but it is barely listenable especially at night when it goes into IBOC mode. WHUC needs to go classic country.

I noticed that the 3 AM stations owned in the lower Hudson Valley; WGHQ,WBNR, and WLNA which were Nostagia are now listed on their website as news/talk. Has the Nostagia format been discontinued by the provider?

If you mean WHUC 1230 out of Hudson, they aren't in IBOC.

DIAL GLOBAL has been their provider all along. They've been using DG's America's Best Music format for years.

Yes, those 3 were using ABC/Citadel's "Timeless", which eventually went bust.
