WEOK-WALL Live show with Kevin Casey & Will be Broadcasting Live June 9

Just heard today Kevin Casey's live Saturday morning show on WEOK-WALL, he was playing favorites and taking live requests. Kevin mentioned he would be doing this show on the weekends most of the time. He also mentioned that WEOK-WALL will be broadcasting live next Saturday from 7-10 AM for the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park broadcasting the Hokey Pokey dance event.

I heard that too... Next Saturday, WEOK and WALL will be broadcasting live from the center of the Walkway over the Hudson from 7-10am to set the Guinness World Record for the longest dance line in the world....doing the "Hokey Pokey". ;D

The will have radios setup along the length of the Walkway playing WEOK, so everyone can do the dance in unison at 8:45. The Walkway expects a couple thousand people to be in attendance. You must admit, a pretty good promotion for WEOK and WALL to be involved in .

The World Record was broken! 2,569 people lined up across the Walkway and did the Hokey Pokey in unison. The live broadcast on WEOK sounded fun, and everyone had a good time. They kept the crowd entertained, and provided the soundtrack to the event.

The Walkway staff and volunteers should be commended for how well organized this event was. Getting 2,569 people to line up is no easy task, and they did a great job!

For those who have been asking for more live programming on this station, I hope you heard this and enjoyed it!

Yep--great thing for WEOK, get live and involved with the public. I know they are running on a shoestring budget; anything like this to make themselves visible is a great thing.....Good Job, Kevin and crew!!!

oldies4ever ;D
