WEOL Update: The new lineup...

WEOL's conversion to a full-time news/talker is complete.

From what I've gathered, here's the new lineup, effective today:

12:00AM-1:00AM: Jim Bohannon
1:00AM-5:00AM: Lars Larson
5:00AM-6:00AM: The Wall Street Journal This Morning
6:00AM-9:00AM: The Morning Show with Les Sekely
9:00AM-12:00PM: Glenn Beck
12:00PM-1:00PM: The Midday Report
1:00PM-3:00PM: Clark Howard
3:00PM-5:00PM: Mitch Albom
5:00PM-6:00PM: The Five O' Clock World with Larry Wright
6:00PM-6:30PM: Fox Sports Radio
6:30PM-10:00PM: Cleveland Indians Baseball (or Fox Sports Radio)
10:00PM-12:00AM: Jim Bohannon

ND/OM Craig Adams confimed on-air this morning both the "Five O' Clock World" show and the Larson add. I will be unable to listen to the former this afternoon, but I would presume it's a faster paced reincarnation of "The Other Side of Morning Drive" that would be heavy on news and long-form interviews. Good move to show some local programming in the afternoon.

Lars will also air during the wee hours of Saturday and Sunday as well. I thought it was just an agreement by WW1 to air something after 4AM on Saturday during the time in-between AP ANR's signoff and the pickup of FSR, but I was wrong. It may not last that long, though... I'd love to see them make a run at either Phil Hendrie or Joey Renoylds.

What has it been till now?

"King, you're not on anymore."

I always considered it a pseudo N/T, with a hefty amount of sports programming in the evenings - and AP News thoughout the entire weekend. That formula had to have worked, to be sure, as WEOL didn't change anything until AP did in All News Radio all by themselves.

Les has settled into the AMD slot very nicely. The new lineup (with one correction: Lars Larson - for now - is only on in the 4AM hour) is pretty solid. I like it.

Though I do miss hearing both Bill King and Wally Mintus: two of the good guys...

I think, but I'm not completely sure, I heard Wally is doing a Saturday or Sunday shift on OBL! Have to check in this weekend to find out...although I don't always get a clean signal...Wally is not new to a music format...used to do overnights a while back...bet he was a trip to listen to, esp. @ 2am!
