weplayanything.com Is Live!

Nine FM's site is up and running.

WRZA launched on June 15, 2004. WRZA/WDEK/WKIE launched their permanent website on September 16, 2005.

1 year, 3 months, 1 day, and hundreds of "Have they finished unpacking their music library YET?" posts later, it's finally here. It looks (and sounds) like the wait was worth it.

If only they'd done it a couple of weeks sooner. I would have loved listening to the fundraising show with dance hits a couple of weeks ago!

Me too. Weird. And www.9chicago.com shows nothing too.

Well, that was short lived...

Sorry, everyone; the site was entirely up when I posted. The new start page promotes a contest for the first 999 people who sign up to be "Niners". All will receive a free music download and will be entered into a trip or something.

Interestingly, Johnny Mars invited listeners to go to 9chicago.com to vote for the "Top 9 @ 9". That domain provides just a 404 error. Perhaps airstaff were told that the domain was up although it isn't? I've also noticed new liners from the morning show being played on the stream, where Steve & Joey brag about being heard in China, Bangladesh, and Canada.

Hopefully, the new website will AGAIN be up soon.

Re: Well, that was short lived...

Amazing how unorganized a radio station can be and still remain on air.

Re: Well, that was short lived...

Maybe they were just testing things? Maybe we jumped on the hope to quickly. Maybe...we were a bit presumptious in their intentions. Needless to say that the site sounds and looks great. How can we attribute whatever they were doing to being unorganized? And...maybe someone just likes to complain to complain.

Re: weplayanything.com

Kind of like the entire launch and subsequent blunders at the radio station.
Cheer for sub mediocrity, it's better than nothing I guess.

Re: weplayanything.com

Nine is, for some reason, delaying the launch of the website.

This isn't uncommon, sometimes there are parts of the site that don't work yet or some pieces aren't done. You upload the site and just eliminate the index page.

There has to be a reason why they are waiting for it.
