WEQX 98.1-FM Keene

does anyone know how the main signal of 102-7 WEQX is being relayed to the translator on 98.1-FM in Keene, N.H.? it sounds like just an FM receiver tuned to 102.7-FM. driving around Keene last night, the stereo light was on, but the songs and commercials kept fading in and out from stereo to mono. just curious. thanx!

Not familiar with that particular station, but I think a translator HAS to be fed from an off-air pickup.

Nope it is privately owned, not owned by WEQX, so they can get the feed however they want to. I have a pretty good picture of just about the entire tower but don't see a receive antenna. Unless it is below my site distance. Seeing that you can pick up WEQX with a car stereo there, most likely it is an off air pickup with a low antenna.
