We're Back, Folks!

nice to see... that other radio message board is too moderated for my tastes...nice to have one where us normal folks can chatter our nonsense :)

Yes. I was sensored for saying everyone will travel back and forth to both boards. I've never had a post pulled on this board, and I was listed On the other board for posting on this board....competition is a good thing.

I just found this board back up and running less than 24-hours ago. Having been a member of this board since 2008, I will continue to use this one in addition to the "other" one. It's nice to see Radio Discussions back online.

Here here the gangs all here. I think the modulation on this board needs to be turned up. The board had a faulty MPX board which resulted in a 19khz loss of pilot. Now the board has been returned to full glorious stereo. Testing....testing....

I still have some picket-fencing issues, but that should be fixed with an increase to 200kw via strobey #4...coast-to-coast.

Mark, you may want to update the board on The Boulevard. I am sure folks in the area would make some comments. I have one; streaming is still not up?

Paging Rob. The frequency swap on this site has been completed. No more format changes anticipated. We need strobeys. Cumulus said they couldn't lend us any.

Hi everybody. I'll wind up wherever the most people are. Don't know where all the Jax folks have gone. Hate talking to myself. Let's see if things can get back to normal.

On demand listening is running but streaming is not. It never has been. We did it that way so those who enjoy jazz only can listen 24/7 online while the OTA signal has the big bands/swing and standards heard weekday mornings known as The Great American Songbook with Gene Martin and Don Bruce. We also still have quite a few religious programs airing on Sundays that have been on the station pre-Boulevard. This is another reason the online listening is separate from the OTA programming although we are jazz formatted from noon till 7:00 AM over-the-air.

As for comments, suggestions and constructive criticisms, they are most welcome. Anyone who would like to make a comment may do so here, on our Facebook page (search Boulevard 89.5 FM) or via email direct to me at [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who has listened to the New Boulevard 89.5 FM.

Just a quick side note, 107.1 Hit Music Now rebranded to "Kiss FM" yesterday....fitting how it was on Valentine's Day. I wonder if 107.3 Hit Music Now will do the same?

Hello..and welcome back to this valuable line of communication especially for us folks who have been "Out of Commerical Radio"for several years thanks to corporate mentality (not throwing stones at any particular brand
or name). Thank you, radiodiscussions.com for getting back up and running! I'm one of old school guys who started
out in high school on AM radio spinning 45's (it was fun back then before...carts, CD's and now computer harddrives!). Keep us up to date! I grew up listening to some of the best jocks in the business and since this board
went away in December, I read elsewhere that Larry Lujack died a few months ago, Scott Shannon reportedly retired, the oldest jock on WLS (now FM) Dick Biondi was switched to the late shift (10p-2AM)perhaps to force his
retirement..who knows what else is in store.???

Stonecold Steve Williams (aka Sandy Beach)FLA

If your paging Rob he probably is a little busy these days reporting for TV (WEAR3) in Pensacola.

I do miss the late 60's and 70's radio. Back then, AM was dominant along the NW FL coast with Mobile's WABB,
Pensacola's WBSR, Ft Walton's WNUE, Panama City's WGNE and WDLP! I still hear Jim Dooley mornings on BEACH
95.1 FM Panama City Beach and if they had a bigger stick (like a 100KW signal that reaches the beaches from east
of Port St Joe to Perdido Key, they would be a force to be reckoned with their 60's/70's/80's format unlike anything
else in the panhandle! Keep up the good work Jim and Dave Nolin!

Looks like I'm finally back.

Time to get the Redneck Rivera Wrecking Crew ready for Spring Break!

Has Rob not appeared? Maybe we can track him down on radioinsight or radiotalk. I know he was posting on one of them outlaw boards.

Welcome back, old timer! :). I sent Rob an email to his strobey account a few weeks ago, but I guess Mapquest lost it.

Maybe this will help channel him in:
There really are not good radio stations down here vs. Canada, I hate the beach and sand that everyone else loves and wishes they could see everyday.

Paging rob... Is this castro's fault. Is his tropo skipping RD? Everyone is going country.

Well if WJLQ's flip back to Classic Hits today doesn't bring Rob out to suggest they program Coast to Coast AM... etc.
