WESL 1490 R&B to Gospel??

Hey Guys:

Here is a blank that I have. Could anybody tell me when did WESL go from R&B to Gospel? Was it when the Willis Family took over in 1985 or was it later?

WESL went gospel in early 1986, calling itself "Love 14." Two years prior to that, it's R&B format added rock/top-40 cuts that fit the format. The slogan was "Rock & Roll, with your soul."

The gospel format continued until early 1994.
