West Virginia Public Broadcasting Needs to Fill 10 Vacancies - Including Chief Engineer

There are a number of vacancies at WV Public Broadcasting according to the article below, though it seems that organization is somewhat mired in politics. The Governor of WV replaced 5 people on the Education Broadcasting Authority board which oversees WVPB. It appears they then terminated the director. The current interim director is a former staffer of Governor Justice.

Another article mentions some technical equipment needs, including required tower replacements. WVPB oversees 3 TV stations and a dozen FM radio stations:

Red states have a love-hate relationship with public broadcasting. Four years ago. Governor Jim Justice wanted to eliminate state funding. He was over-ruled by the legislature. So yes, it's "mired in politics." Since then, they've been getting along pretty well. But sure, staffing is a problem when you don't know if your budget is safe.

Mikey Radio, I don't often check out our public broadcasting stations, but I know someone who might have a clue. I'll see what I can find out. As to our governor, if he would pay his taxes, all would be well, and money would not be a problem for the forseeable future.

To be fair, West Virginia has been taking in more revenue than projected, so perhaps things will work out.
But from what I can see, they aren't being competitive with their salary range. If you want quality and qualified employees these days, be prepared to step up.

Kelly A, you are absolutely right. Also, in education, teachers have never been competitive with border states. They've never worked harder for so little reward. I hope that the Justice Administration gets this fixed ASAP, as these stations, radio and TV provide a necessary service for culturally-starved West Virginia.
